A major transformation is underway for the downtown Sioux Falls Hilton Garden Inn, as it is reimagined into The Catlin Hotel, part of Hilton’s Tapestry Collection. The project represents a full-property repositioning led by HEGG, with nearly every space being redesigned to create a more elevated, experience-driven destination.
The rebrand introduces a boutique-style approach focused on connection, energy, and a strong sense of place. Inspired by local catlinite stone, The Catlin is designed to reflect Sioux Falls while offering a more refined and modern hospitality experience.
Renovations include updates to guest rooms, event spaces, and the lobby, along with the addition of new experiential elements such as a whiskey bar, enhanced outdoor patios, and a reimagined retail and gathering space. The goal is to move beyond a traditional hotel model and create distinct environments throughout the property that encourage guests to gather, relax, and connect.
The multi-phase project began in 2024, with completion anticipated by the end of 2025.
